Molly's Endorsement for Governor

I represent Kansas’ 37th district as a state senator, and today I want to tell you why I’m endorsing Derek Schmidt for Governor of Kansas. 

Derek is a proven fighter for children and families.

I’m a fourth generation educator who taught at the high school level for seven years, and I now serve as the communications coordinator at Johnson County Community College. As the current chair of the State Senate Education Committee, I always fight for what’s best for our Kansas students. And I’m here to tell you that Derek Schmidt does too–He’s proven it over his many years of service to our state and its children.

Derek will stand up for our rural communities.

Derek was once a state senator like myself. He knows the ins and outs of our legislature. While he was in the Senate, Derek served as chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee. He’s seen the priorities of Kansas farmers and ranchers and knows how to fight for them.

Derek Schmidt is a proven fighter for the unborn.

As Attorney General, Derek Schmidt has defended pro-life laws against legal challenges and argued that no right to abortion exists under the Kansas Constitution. This year, I’ve led the fight for the Value Them Both amendment in the Kansas Senate, making way for basic abortion regulations to protect the lives of babies and mothers throughout our state. I know how valuable the right to life is and so does Derek.

Derek Schmidt has the experience and the conservative values to lead Kansas as our governor. He is a proven fighter, and is ready to stand up to Laura Kelly and defend our freedoms and our way of life.  I trust Derek will lead our state well, and we want to make sure the rest of Kansas knows too.
